Initiatives Since 1998, Suzuki Construction has participated in the Technical Intern Training Program and has accepted approximately 200 trainees to date. Currently, we also participate in the Specified Skilled Worker program and actively provide training in carpentry skills both domestically and internationally.
To ensure that trainees can live fulfilling lives while learning skills in Japan, we provide dormitories and meals, and organize annual events visiting major tourist sites across Japan.
Previously, we accepted technical interns mainly in the concrete formwork division, but in response to aging workforce and labor shortages, we have also begun accepting interns in interior carpentry (finishing works) since 2024.
Approximately 10 trainees have passed the highly competitive Specified Skilled Worker Type 2 examination, which allows long-term residence and family accompaniment. We have established family dormitories in Ayase for their housing.
